Plastic extrusion mold is a type of mold used for plastic processing, which shapes molten plastic materials into the desired shape through extrusion technology. According to the purpose and structure of the mold, plastic extrusion molds can be divided into various types, such as pipe extrusion molds, sheet extrusion molds, profile extrusion molds, etc. The working principle of plastic extrusion molds is to push molten plastic raw materials through the screw of the extruder, pass through the mold mouth, cool and shape, and form the required plastic products.
The structure of a mold usually includes the mouth part, the shaping part, the traction part, and the control system. The mouth part is designed according to the shape of the product, the shaping part is used to fix the size of the product, the traction part is responsible for pulling the product out of the mold, and the control system is used to adjust the temperature, speed and other parameters of the mold. The process of manufacturing plastic extrusion molds includes stages such as design, processing, assembly, debugging, and acceptance. During the design phase, determine the structure and dimensions of the mold based on the shape and performance requirements of the product.

During the processing stage, CNC machine tools, wire cutting and other equipment are used to process various components of the mold. During the assembly phase, each component is assembled into a complete mold and debugged to ensure that the performance of the mold meets production requirements. Finally, the quality inspection of the mold is carried out during the acceptance stage, and it is delivered for use after passing the inspection. Material selection is a crucial step in the manufacturing of plastic extrusion molds.
Common mold materials include carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, hard alloy, etc. The selection of materials depends on factors such as the performance requirements of the product, production process, and equipment conditions. For example, for products that require high strength and hardness, alloy steel or hard alloy can be selected as the mold material.
