Use of various plastics
No. 1 PET polyethylene terephthalate
Common mineral water bottles, carbonated beverage bottles, etc. Heat resistant to 70 ℃, easy to deform, with substances harmful to human body melting out. No. 1 plastic may release carcinogen DEHP after 10 months of use. Do not put it in the car to bask in the sun; Do not contain alcohol, oil and other substances.
No. 2 HDPE high density polyethylene
Common white medicine bottles, cleaning supplies and bath products. Do not use it as a water cup or as a storage container for other items. Do not recycle if the cleaning is not complete.
No. 3 PVC
Common raincoats, building materials, plastic films, plastic boxes, etc. With good plasticity and low price, it is widely used and can only withstand 81 ℃. It is easy to produce bad substances at high temperatures and is rarely used for food packaging. It is difficult to clean and easy to remain. Do not recycle. Don’t buy any drinks.
No. 4 PE polyethylene
Common fresh-keeping film, plastic film, etc. Harmful substances are produced when the temperature is high. When the toxic substances enter the human body with food, they may cause breast cancer, congenital defects of newborns and other diseases. Don’t put the plastic wrap in the microwave oven.
No. 5 PP
Common soy milk bottles, yogurt bottles, juice drink bottles, microwave oven lunch boxes. The melting point is up to 167 ℃, which is one of the plastic boxes that can be put into the microwave oven and can be reused after careful cleaning. It should be noted that for some microwave oven lunch boxes, the box body is made of No. 5 PP, but the box cover is made of No. 1 PE. Since PE cannot withstand high temperature, it cannot be put into the microwave oven together with the box body.
No. 6 PS polystyrene
Common bowls of instant noodles and snack boxes. Do not put it into the microwave oven to avoid releasing chemicals due to high temperature. After containing acid (such as orange juice) and alkaline substances, carcinogens will be decomposed. Avoid packing hot food in snack boxes. Don’t use the microwave to cook instant noodles.
No.7 Others
Common water bottles, space cups and milk bottles. Department stores often use such water cups as gifts. It is easy to release toxic substance bisphenol A, which is harmful to human body. Do not heat or directly expose to the sun when using.
