It has particularly good impact resistance, thermal stability, glossiness, bacteria inhibition and pollution resistance. It has a wide range of operating temperatures (- 60~120 ℃) and is widely used in the design of electronic product enclosures, especially for products requiring outdoor use.

“Strong transparent material”

There are colorless transparent models. The visible light transmittance is close to 90%. It has good dimensional stability, electrical insulation, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, high surface hardness, and is not easy to scratch and fuzz. It can be used for outdoor curtain walls, sports equipment, and electronic products with transparent shells.

Disadvantages

Compared with similar engineering materials, the price is relatively high. At the same time, due to the poor flow characteristics of materials after hot melting, the injection process is more difficult, so polycarbonate has higher requirements on the injection process.

When the material temperature is low, it will cause material shortage, surface mattness and silver wire disorder;

When the temperature is high, the edge will overflow, silver filament will appear, and the plastic part will change color and have bubbles.

The mold temperature has a great influence on the quality of plastic parts. The thin-walled plastic parts should be 80~100 ℃, and the thick walled plastic parts should be 80~120 ℃. Low mold temperature leads to high shrinkage, elongation, impact strength, low bending, compressive and tensile strength. When the mold temperature exceeds 120 ℃, the plastic parts cool slowly, are easy to deform and stick, are difficult to demould, and have a long forming cycle.
