Micro Medical is an extrusion crosshead that aims to provide precise concentricity adjustment through the use of micro-fine adjustment screws.

Guill claim that the precision of concentricity reaches a minimum of 0.008” per revolution. This single point concentricity adjustment is an innovation that was specifically designed for the precision and extrusion of inside diameter/outside diameter medical tubing. Guill state that one adjustment bolt is able to control 360° of adjustment.

Additionally, the Micro Medical crosshead includes a patented cam-lock deflector for quick changeovers, with a residence time of one minute at .5 lb/hr material flow, optimised usage with extruders measuring ½” and ¾”, and a max die inside diameter of .250.” The device is able to accept both vacuum and micro-air accessories, and is also suitable for pressure and sleeving applications.
