One of the most widely used types of plastics today: high density polyethylene (HDPE), which is particularly suitable for industrial or engineering applications. Like many other plastics, HDPE often replaces heavier materials to help companies pursue sustainable development goals. “Rugged and lightweight” can be interpreted as “less impact on the environment”
As one of the most versatile and economical plastics, our HDPE Sheet has excellent wear resistance and low friction, which makes it a popular choice, although there are many other reasons:
It’s light, but it’s super strong.
It is easy to weld and is suitable for machining on CNC machine tools or traditional machine tools. HDPE will provide a beautiful smooth surface.
It is durable and unaffected by the weather. Think of the plastic decks in the garden that can entertain generations of families.
It can resist mold, mildew, decay and insects, so it is very suitable for underground water pipes.
It provides low friction and excellent wear resistance. Because of this, it may be used more frequently than any other plastic as a low friction and wear-resistant belt on company conveyor belts and production lines. HDPE plate is fixed on the conveyor as a guardrail.
It is considered to be a food safety plastic, so it is widely used in kitchen cutting board.
It is easy to shape into almost any general shape.
It is softer than engineering plastics such as nylon and acetal, which means it will not cause damage to parts passing through the production line.
Our commonly used HDPE model is taisox 8001, which is a black high-density polyethylene and special resin for PE pipe. It can be used in tap water pipe, gas pipe, high-voltage electric buried transmission pipe, telecommunication pipe, sewage discharge pipe, seawater discharge pipe and chemical pipe.
It is a polymer with high molecular weight and wide catalyst distribution, and has high molecular density.
If you need plastics with high impact resistance or easy adhesion, other plastics such as harder nylon and acetal may be a better choice. HDPE is difficult to bond to anything and needs to be physically or mechanically fixed in place rather than bonded.
